The Eye and Ear provides 24 hour emergency eye services and has an outstanding reputation and record for providing excellent patient care. Doctors working in an Emergency Department need to have a high level of skill in assessing and diagnosing eye presentations, and the Eye and Ear Emergency Department delivers an integral part of our hospital teaching program through education for medical registrars and nursing staff; as well as sharing ophthalmic specialist knowledge throughout Victoria by providing training to Emergency Medicine Registrars from other hospitals.
