Our Emergency Department is opened 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our clinics are open from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

How to get here

Drop-off zones

If travelling with a patient with low mobility, we recommend dropping them off at the hospital entrances at either Gisborne Street or Morrison Place.

Parking

There are several private car parks within a short walking distance. The closest is Wilson Parking – 410 Albert Street, Wilsons parking is not coordinated by the hospital and patients need to check with Wilson’s regarding fees and charges. Consider pre-booking online as this maybe cheaper. The hospital does not cover patient parking expenses.

Please read street signs carefully when parking your car in the street, clearways are strictly enforced. Victoria Parade and Albert Street are subject to Clearway Tow Away Zones.

Public Transport

Train: Parliament Station.
The hospital is located near Parliament Station. Exit via Lonsdale/Nicholson Street and walk up Albert Street towards the hospital.

Tram: 11, 12, 30, 109.
Depending on which direction and tram you are using alight at stop 11 or stop 12.

Bus: 302, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907, 908

Patients who live over 100km from the hospital may be eligible for the Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS).
