The Victorian Aboriginal Health Services Specialist Eye Clinic (VAHS) is situated in VAHS, 186 Nicholson Street, Fitzroy, Victoria, 3065. The aim of the clinic is to fit in with the other medical clinics present at VAHS, while being an outreach service of the Eye and Ear. The aim is thus to “promote, improve and support” the ophthalmic care of “the person, the family and the Community in a culturally appropriate way”. Ophthalmology clinics run twice per month and are open to babies, children and adults. Referrals can be made from within any hospital or community in Australia.
