Biography

Associate Professor Szmulewicz a neurologist and neuro-otologist who is the founding head of the Balance Disorders & Ataxia Service at the Eye and Ear Hospital, and a lecturer at Melbourne University. Associate Professor Szmulewicz holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne. His clinical and research interests include balance disorders that affect ballooned and coordination, and the combination of the two.

Associate Professor Szmulewicz research includes disease and gene discovery, as well as the development of technology to aid in the diagnosis and management of balance disorders.
