Biography

Dr Au is a registered ophthalmologist in both Australia and Singapore specialising in Complex Cataracts. He is currently the Clinical Lead for the Acute Ophthalmology Service. Dr Au is originally from Toronto, Canada and completed his undergraduate training in the UK at the St George’s University of London (formerly known as St George’s Hospital Medical School), which included the Moorfields Duke Elder Eye Unit. Dr Au then moved to Singapore for his ophthalmology training at the prestigious Singapore National Eye Centre and pursued a fellowship in Complex Cataracts at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital under the mentorship of Dr Anton Van Heerden.

Dr Benjamin Au has also undertaken observerships in the US, Canada and Singapore with various eminent ophthalmologists.

His diverse global experience allows him to provide individualized care across a wide range of ophthalmic specialties. He is proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese.
