Biography
Dr Elnahrawy has over 20 years of ophthalmology experience. He completed his medical training and specialist ophthalmology residency at Alexandria University, Egypt (2001–2004) where he also served as a Lecturer in Ophthalmology.
He subsequently undertook fellowships in Cataract and Glaucoma Surgery at the Eye and Ear. Dr Elnahrawy holds a Master’s degree in Ophthalmology (Ocular Trauma, 2004) and a PhD in Refractive Surgery (2009), and he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.
Dr Elnahrawy has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Eye and Ear since 2021. During this time, he has worked extensively across the Surgical Ophthalmology Service, Acute Ophthalmology Service, Emergency Department and Glaucoma Department.
