Biography

Professor Robert Briggs is an Otolaryngologist with clinical practice and research specialising in Otology and Neurotology. His current appointments are Clinical Professor at the University of Melbourne Departments of Surgery and Otolaryngology and Medical Director of the Cochlear Implant Clinic at the Eye and Ear. Professor Briggs has a large experience with acoustic neuroma surgery and with cochlear implantation. His research has focused on Cochlear Implant Electrode development and safety as well as Cochlear Implant outcomes, particularly in young children.
