We are proud to share our Disability Action Plan 2024–2028, marking a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone, particularly individuals living with disability.
We extend our thanks to our community and Consumer Advisors for their valuable input, which has been instrumental in shaping this plan through their lived experiences.
Guided by our core principles of integrity, inclusive and accessible care, collaboration and excellence, this comprehensive plan serves as a roadmap to address the diverse needs of our patients, staff, carers, volunteers, and visitors.
Building on the foundation laid by our Disability Action Plan 2020–2023, outlined in our Partnering with Consumers and Community Plan 2020-2023, our new plan continues our journey toward a more inclusive future. It highlights three key priority areas that will shape our actions over the next four years:
- Accessibility: Enhancing physical and digital access across our facilities and services.
- Inclusion and Participation: Ensuring everyone is valued and actively involved in their healthcare journey.
- Changing Attitudes and Behaviours: Fostering an environment where respect, empathy, and inclusion are central to our workplace culture and patient care.
With this plan, we aim to create a healthcare environment that is not only a great place to work but also a place where every individual can receive the care and respect they deserve.
We look forward to continuing this vital work, transforming our services, and partnering with the community to create an environment that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusion, and ensures equitable healthcare for all.
