The Research Committee at the Eye and Ear provides strategic direction and oversight of both research management and research governance for all research conducted by the Eye and Ear and provides assurance that research activities are undertaken in accordance with the Eye and Ear Clinical Trials Governance Framework (E+E CTGF) and the Eye and Ear Research Strategy.
Members are research leaders and senior staff of the Eye and Ear.
The Eye and Ear encourages its staff to conduct research and apply for research funding.

Early Research Career Support Grants
The purpose of the Eye & Ear Early Research Career Support Grants program is to support the recruitment and retention of clinical researchers early in their research careers, including those transitioning from training positions to early consultant or more junior to more senior clinician positions.
Research Project Grants
The purpose of the Research Project Grant program is to support research projects across any of the clinical domains and research interests of the hospital which are expected to produce data to enable subsequent submissions to other bodies for larger grants, as well as projects which have clearly defined aims that can be achieved in one year of funding.
