Agreements which do not utilise the templates may require additional review by the Research Office and/or our General Counsel.
Research teams are encouraged to submit agreements early to avoid delays.

The Research Office will arrange for signatures on behalf of the institution.
The Principal Investigator must sign the agreement before submitting for sign off.
We will accept documents signed by Docusign.
If the Eye and Ear Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) is the Reviewing HREC, please ensure you input ‘The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee’ in the agreement.
Please note that all agreements which include special conditions in schedules 4 or 7 will require additional review.

Research teams should utilise the Standard Clinical Trial Research Agreement templates developed by various state health departments and Medicines Australia.

The investigator initiated, company supported studies template is for projects which are investigator-initiated and supported by a commercial company. The support can be financial in the form of a product or in-kind support.

These Guidelines have been developed with broad stakeholder input and endorsed by the Hospital Research Directors and Hospital Research Managers as active Committees with membership open to all research-active hospitals in Victoria.
