We have been caring for the community and improving wellbeing since 1863.
The Eye and Ear is a world leader in eye, ear, nose and throat services. We provide:
- a 24-hour emergency department for patients requiring urgent care and treatment
- over 90 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss
- a state of the art hospital in East Melbourne, as well as services in convenient community settings across Victoria and via telemedicine facilities.
We see over 250,000 patients a typical year and recognise everyone as an individual, with unique needs and circumstances.
Statement of Priorities
All Victorian public healthcare services agree to a Statement of Priorities (SoP).
SoPs are annual accountability agreements between Victorian public healthcare services and the Minister for Health. They outline the key performance expectations, targets and funding for the year as well as government service priorities.
