2024 Victorian Temporal Bone Advanced Surgical Course

Friday 19 July to Saturday 20 July 2024

This is a course dedicated to the surgical anatomy of the middle ear and advanced technical skill development in temporal bone surgery. Cadaveric specimens will be used allowing participants to dissect surgical approaches, perform ossiculoplasties, cochlear implant electrode insertion and other specific surgical technique. This advanced instruction course is open to Senior Registrars/Fellows with some experience in temporal bone dissection.

The course is also open to a group of participants, including audiologists, who don’t dissect but would be able to observe and use all workstations. View the program here.

2024 International Victorian Hearing Implant Surgical Course

Thursday 24 October to Saturday 26 October 2024

This is a course dedicated to the clinical and surgical management of hearing implants (cochlear and acoustic implants) focusing on advanced technical skill development, case and implant type selection. Modern and state of the art artificial (for young child) and conventional adult cadaveric specimens will be used. This course is open to young consultants, fellows and senior registrars with some experience and specific interest in hearing implants. The course is also open to a group of participants, including audiologists, who don’t dissect but would benefit from additional lectures on patient selection, mapping and outcome assessments.
